  1. The Customer The College is located at Selesih, North Aizawl that is about 12 km away from Aizawl, the capital city of MIZORAM, on the Aizawl-Sihphir-Silchar sub-highway. The Campus of the College is spread over 168.61 acres of land, mostly of hilly terrain at an altitude of 965 meters the sea level. Central Agriculture University Mizoram, Aizawl

  4. The Solution • 12nos. Of buildings are already connected through FO links, which will be utilized for VoIP network. • Remaining 13nos. Of buildings will be connected through Outdoor Wireless Bridge • DWL-2700AP will be used as Wireless Bridge • Omni directional antenna (ANT24-1500) & Directional Antenna (ANT24-1801) will be installed on the Tower / Mast to get the clear line of sight. • One Layer-3 managed switch will be installed at the Main Administrative Bldg. • One Layer-2 managed switch will be installed at each of the remaining buildings.

The Solution • 103 Nos. of the Wired IP phones will be distributed in all these buildings. • Wired phones will be connected to the Switch through Cat6 Structured Cabling. • Indoor Wireless Access Points (DWL-3200AP) will be installed at some key locations • Wireless IP Phones will be used through these above Wireless Access points. • SIP Based IP-PBX with RPS will be installed at the Administrative Building • 8-Port FXO Gateway (DVG-6008S) will be installed to integrate PSTN network

Case Challenges • As the CAU, Aizawl is situated at a hilly area it was very much difficult to provide the solution over Optic fiber so we gave the customer Wi-Fi Solution with the integration of VOIP. • As the main competitor for the case was Nortel and Avaya and their solution was high-end, complex and costlier, but we managed to convince the customer with our D-Link, Simplified and Cost effective solution.
