We offer our residents retirement living and health-care services in a secure, friendly environment. In all that we do, we keep the ultimate goal of making McKendree home to our residents in mind. Benevolent Care • For residents who have exhausted their resources • 16% of residents receive Benevolent Care • Total benevolent care provided • FYE June 30, 2002- $911,109  FYE June 30, 2003- $1,202,262  FYE June 30, 2004- $1,635,669 (estimate) • FYE June 30, 2005- $2,069,074 (estimate) A husband and wife were recipients of benevolent care. He said, “It is hard for me to know that someone else is helping pay my bills, but it does relieve so much of my worry. I can be more cheerful around my wife. We still enjoy times together when she has a good day.” His daughter has noticed a positive change in him since the burden of debt had been eased. She said “he hates to see Momma in her condition, but we are so grateful to McKendree Village and the people who give to the Golden Cross fund for benevolent care. I don’t know what we would have done without it!”

Pastoral Care • Provides life enrichment for McKendree residents, including: • Visiting with residents • Counseling • Special activities • Worship services • Prayer support • Bible studies • Singing • Devotions • Pastoral Care’s future depends on an endowment to grow staff through educational partnerships, internships and chaplain programs, so as to meet the needs of McKendree residents and families. • McKendree is a member of the Clinical Pastoral Care Partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Baptist Hospital and St. Thomas Hospital, providing pastoral interns to McKendree Village.

McKendree Village Foundation Mission The McKendree Village Foundation exists to identify, cultivate, solicit, and recognize individuals, corporations, and foundations whose charitable contributions support the operating budget, capital, and endowment needs of McKendree Village, Inc., for the benefit of senior adults.
