Yellow The ITWS system is operational and level three or greater storm cells are present within the TRACON, but no alerts* are in effect at the associated airport.  *For this status, AP is not considered. Green The ITWS system is operational but no active alerts are in effect and no storm cells (level three or greater) are within the TRACON. Black The ITWS system for the associated airport is not available (e.g., down or maintenance).

  13. Window control buttons Re-center Activates re-center mode which allows the user to select the location of the center of the window with a single click on the data image. To disable, switch to select mode. Select Activates select mode which allows for the display of the storm cell information (SCI) product.  This mode is active by default. Zoom Zoom in on the data in the window. There is a limit to how closely one can zoom in on an image. When the zoom limit is reached, further clicks on the Z button will have no effect on the image. At this point the user should switch to a closer range. UnZoom Zoom out on the data in the window. There is a limit to how far out one can zoom on an image. When the zoom limit is reached, further clicks on the U button will have no effect on the image. The user could then switch to a larger range. Home Resets the window to its default centerpoint and zoom step. Overlay Allows for the selection of overlays to be applied to the precipitation products. Clicking on this button will open a menu allowing for the selection and application of overlays. When the apply button is pressed in the overlay selection menu, the precipitation product will be updated with the new overlays being shown.
