  3. Their Creation • October 23, 2001 the iPod was born • Tony Fadell created the device for Apple with the help of Ben Knauss • Apple originally sold it for $400.00!

  4. The Development • Ben Knauss was working at Portal Player • Knauss was asked to aid in the development of the iPod • Tony Fadell was the person who had the idea of creating a portable music device • The intended audience was music lovers. With the invention of Napster, Apple wanted their own version of downloadable music so they invented iTunes

  5. Commercialization • Television ads • Print ads • Posters • They use dark silhouetted people with bright backgrounds holding the device is their signature for the device
