  3. Graduation Requirements • English 4 Years • World History 1 Year • US History 1 Year • Govt/Econ 1 Year • Math 3 Years • Science 2 Years • PE 2 Years • Foreign Lang/VPA 1 Year • Health/Info Tech 1 Year • Electives 6 Classes

  4. CSU/UC Entrance Requirements and JC Readiness • A – 4 Years of English • B – 2 Years of Social Studies • C – 3 Years of Math (4 Recommended) • D – 2 Years of Lab Science (3 Recommended) • E – 2 Years of Foreign Language (3 Recomm.) • F – 1 Year of Visual/Performing Arts • G – 1 Year of College Prep Elective (additional year from above) • No grade lower than a C will be accepted.

  5. English & History • Options • What are requirements for each? • Placement – student/counselor/teacher (includes benchmark assessments) • Option of a Academic Lab

  6. Mathematics • Options • Requirements for each • Placement – student/counselor/teacher (includes benchmark assessments) • Remember – HS 3 yrs – College Recommends 4

  7. Science • Options • Co-requisites with Math • Remember – HS 2 yrs – College Recommends 3

  8. ELD Program • ELD I/II or English Essentials • Biology Essentials • US History Essentials • World History Essentials

  9. Repeat Classes • You will repeat the semester/year you didn’t pass • The sooner the better • Counselor will double check 

  10. General Notes - Electives • 10th- 11th graders – at least 4 options • 12th – at least 5, possibly 6 options • You must have 6 classes and only 2 ROP

  11. Visual & Performing • Art – Drawing or Ceramics Lab Fee $ 20 (approx.) • Photo – Lab Fee $ 30 (approx.) • Choir • Band • Theatre • All courses above meet College Eligibility

  12. Foreign Language • Spanish • Native Spanish • Remember HS = 1 year of Art or Language • College is BOTH

  13. Miscellaneous Electives • All Require Application and Acceptance • AVID • Yearbook • Teachers Aide/Library/Office • Passed CAHSEE, 11th or 12th graders

  14. Industrial Arts • Woodshop • Fees $20 plus individual projects

  15. Physical Education • Options • Athletic PE – please list sport (s) • No Senior will have Athletic PE

  16. ROP • Limit 2 periods • Auto • Culinary Arts – Possibilities (not a guarantee) • Horticulture - Possibility • Business - Possibility

  17. Things to Remember • 2.0 GPA for Extra Curricular Activities • 220 credits to graduate • A-G’s for College Eligibility • Make an appoint with your counselor if you have any concerns/questions!
