  2. DI Digital Identity • We use the term "digital identity" (DI) to describe the persona an individual presents across all the digital spaces that he/she is represented in.

  3. Facets of DI • There maybe a number of facets to a person’s DI • What sort of DI should you and your students have?

  4. Have you Googled yourself? What did you find? Was it what you expected? Exercise

  5. Learning Activity: email account • If you were an employer with hundreds of enquiries about a single opportunity and had mail from the following hotmail accounts: • ireallydontcare • thirstyferret • blondandbusty • dduck237 • Which would you discard?

  6. Learning Activity: Sleuthin’ time • Students, in a computer lab, are cast as spies needing to find out about targets (without the help of their HQ). Various targets given: • John Smith • Workshop facilitators

  7. Discussion Points • Should an e-Portfolio be accessible by anyone searching on the internet? • Can material on the internet support an ePortfolio? • Should you encourage students to lock down their Facebook profile?
