FRBR model: Work, Expression, Manifestation, Item The FRBR model helps us analyze the types of version: Work, Expression, Manifestation, Item. • For example: • any edition of Hamlet • a copy of Bloom’s edition • a paperback of that • my paperback of that • These correspond to the four entities in the FRBR model: • Work: Hamlet • Expression: Bloom’s Edition • Manifestation: paperback • Item: my copy • any editionof Hamlet • a copy of Bloom’s Critical Edition • the 1972 paperback • my copyof that
