  3. Plan for 2007 • Share work of planning programs • Train new treasurer • Resume regular cycle of elections

  4. Planning Programs • Web site of university • Notices of promotions, awards, and grants in region’s daily newspaper • Identify local authors in journals and at conferences • Recruit speakers from among own members, coworkers, clients

  5. Cooperation with other Societies • SWE, AIAA, INCOSE, AFCEA, etc. • Publicize their events • Ask them to publicize our events • Schedule joint activities

  6. Plans for 2007 • Combine business and technical meetings • Streamline budget, estimate expenses and revenues more accurately • Balanced budget: halt drawdown of accumulated reserves

  7. Better Communications • Fewer broadcasts (abuses of e-mail) • Clearly identify requests for action (distinguish from informational messages) • Regular publication of notices in calendars of region’s daily newspaper • Take advantage of IEEE Web hosting service
