  2. TITANS There are 12 Titans. They include; Oceanus ,Tethys, Hyperion, Theia, Coeus, Phoebe, Cronus, Rhea, Mnemosyne, Themis, Crius, and Iapetus. Each of the Titans have children. Atlas Atlas was the son of Iapetus. He was one of the second generation Titans. Atlas was the reason that their was a ten year war. He was the one who started a rebellion against Zeus. Zeus was the king of gods and was also the god of the sky and the weather. During the war, Zeus singled out Atlas and punished him by making him hold the sky on his back. Most people think that he was holding the earth but it was actually just the sky. Cronus Cronus was the son of Uranus and Gaia. He was the leader and the youngest of first generation of Titans. Things got bad between Uranus and Gaia when Uranus hid Gaia’s youngest son. Gaia made a great stone sickle and asked her sons to castrate Uranus. Cronus was the only one who agreed to do the deed. Cronus knew like he had done to his own father, he was destined to be beat by his sons so when his children were born he ate them all except for Zeus because Rhea had a plan to save him. He was kept hidden in a cave and then raised by a goat.

  3. Theseus Theseus was a hero who was from the Athens. His adventures benefited the city and region and also made him a good king for the Athens. He led the Athens army on many campaigns, which they won. He also found the Athens democracy, turning many of his power as a king over to an elected assembly. He helped the poor and oppressed. Theseus became king of the Athens because he took the place of his father. He got the approval of the Athenian citizens who saw him as a wise, far-sighted, brave and fearless warrior. grew up with his mother because his father left before he was even born. Before his father left, who was the king, he put a sword and shoes under a huge and heavy stone. He said that when Theseus was older and strong enough, he could roll the stone away and get the sword and shoes. He also said that if he did so, he had the mission to travel to Athens and claim that he was the son of the king. He managed to move the stone at a young age and his mother then told what to do. After the long journey to Athens, the citizens of Athens agreed to make Theseus king.

  4. The creation of man The creation of man was made a long time ago. There was a war within the Titans, and when that war was over, Prometheus and Epimetheus were given the task to create man. Epimetheus and Prometheus were responsible for giving the creatures on earth certain qualities. Most of the big qualities were given to the animals, leaving none for man. Prometheus gave man the quality to stand up right, similar to the gods. Man was given the quality of fire by Prometheus. Zeus had said that some of each animal sacrificed to the gods must be present in man. Prometheus played tricks on Zeus making Zeus mad and take away the given power of fire to man. Zeus later gave it back and even though there were very few qualities left to give man, except for fire which caused many problems, the creation of man worked out.
