  6. Recognition of foreign diplomas Whatwill I gainbyhaving my diploma officiallyapproved? • I willbeabletoapplyforhighskilledjobsvacancies. • I can comply my immediateneeds and at thesame time I can worktowards my longtermprofessionalgoals.

  7. Selfemployment WhySelfemployment? • Becausethere are littlejoboffers • Because 95% of spanishcompanies are SME. • Because6% of selfemployedbusinesses are runbyimmigrants.

WorkshopsOutcomes • Migrantworkerswillbebettermotivated and betterpreparedto cope withsuchanincreasinglydemanding and competitivelabourmarket. • Migrantswillgainanimperativetoolwhichwillallowthemtoaccesshighskilledjoboffers. • Migrantswillhavetheappropriateknowledgetobecomeselfemployed, a posible optionagainstsuch a severeunemploymentrate.

Tocomplementtheseinterventionswithotherexistingactionsfosteredbythe local government, relatedwithemploymentissues. . Toadopt in parallel a motivationalstrategy; . Implementation of a follow up strategy; . Raiseawarenessamongstmigrants of theimportance of a wider and diverse net of contacts.
