  1. How Technology Innovations Enable Better Care for Heart Diseases? “Ailment for heart diseases with the advancement in technology” The advancement in biomedical research is concentrating on developing concise, quicker, and smarter devices for the medical industry with the help of engineering. Cardiologists found it challenging to operate the heart patients in critical heart conditions without proper tools and instruments. This led to an increment of around 41% of heart failure cases in India, as announced by Eknath Shinde, a public health minister from Maharashtra. The heart diseases which were incurable and undetectable to date are easily curable and detectable with the commencement of advanced technologies. In recent years, techniques like cardiac MRI, CT, 3D echocardiography, EMR, CVIS, etc. have taken the practice of cardiology to a higher level. The nationwide situation is alarming, with the increasing number of fatal heart diseases and minimal knowledge of diagnostics and imaging techniques. The three dimensional visually impaired technology helps in giving an overall demonstration of the present condition of heart, its beating patterns, and working condition with visual presentation. The treatments consist of multiple repetitions, where the hospital staff is exposed to harmful radiations throughout the process. The innovative systems are devised to reduce invasive procedures and manual work by converting manual procedures to automated ones.

  2. Fields of science, namely robotics and nano-technology, are bringing revolution in cardiology and focusing upon making the system automatic. The advancements in technology are aiding the cardiologists to stabilize the health conditions of the concerned patients in critical care. This reduces the death rate by saving patients from losing their lives. The staple food of Indians has shifted its focus from healthy eating to unhealthy street food. This resulted in an increasing amount of cholesterol, sugar level, and salt proportion along with the insertion of other harmful chemicals through spices and condiments. The regular intake of unhealthy food leads to heart blockage at an average age. The critical stage of this condition requires continuous observation of the patient. The advent of technology has bridged the gap between physicians and patients by preventing cardiovascular diseases in its early stages. The early detection would eliminate risk factors and would help the cardiologists to diagnose with a sufficient amount of time. The heart diseases are prominent as inherited disease that passes on for generations due to genetic disorders and causes sudden deaths at early stages. Thus imaging techniques have become an integrated part of cardiology, emphasizing the quality of diagnosis procedure, and providing cost-effective solutions. The system has been made patient-centric, where the required remedies are offered at an early stage. The pacemaker placing, catheter-based procedures, etc., are advised by doctors only under critical conditions. Heart surgeries have been simplified with the use of highly-sophisticated robotics in performing the surgeries. The procedures related to irregular heartbeat rhythm, genetic heart defect, and surgeries for blocked coronary arteries, repairing valves, etc. can be performed easily with advanced technologies. The most common heart problem is the deficiency of blood in certain portions of the body due to the malfunctioning of the pumping phenomenon of heart. To increase the efficiency of the heart’s pumping capability, complex heart surgeries are performed with the help of precision robotics. The mortality rate has decreased to a significant level, such that failure cases have reduced to a minimum in numbers with the advancements in open-heart surgeries.

  3. The stress level in which a common man in India lives is beyond imagination. In the modern age where technological reforms are reaching heights; the price rise and inflation is a matter of grave concern. The work-stress causes heart attacks in middle-aged group working in corporate sectors. Time is an essential factor involved in treating heart attacks, and immediate treatment must be given to restore the blood supply in the patient’s body. With the advancement in technology, ambulances are acquainted with an instant toolkit for operating or stabilizing a heart patient in no time at all. The patients living in remote rural areas, the elderly people, and those occupied with the busy schedule; Telehealth is a boon. This section of cardiology connects the sufferers living outside or beyond the reach of the hospitals. They are provided with the option of telemedicine so to avoid frequent hospital visits, which is an excellent initiative for the patients’ care plans. This helps in providing timely treatments in critical conditions and saves the patient’s life. The personal healthcare awareness has been a valuable input resulting in an improved patient monitoring system with the precautionary measures regarding heart failure. The cardiologists take follow-up in advanced devices listed on their daily schedule, and remote monitoring of the patient is done. Patient data and personal identification are traced by artificial intelligence for official purposes, device reprogramming, and other issues that need human involvement. With this technology heart failure, patients can be digitally monitored and guided for the future. Smartwatches are provided to the patients of heart diseases that provide them with the necessary information and helpful guidance. The healthcare sector is increasing its potential by deploying advanced technologies and techniques in public as well as private sectors. The analytics software developed using artificial intelligence avoids duplications of the procedures, drugs, guidelines, etc. suggested

  4. by doctors. Hence the catastrophic expenditure regarding one’s health can be avoided by the detection of diseases in the early stages. A significant advancement is noticed in Stem Cell Therapy, a procedure where the patient’s cells are cultured (synthesized) and made strong against particular diseases. The treatment of coronary artery disease is expected to be benefitted from the use of stem cell therapy in the future. Technological reformations are taking place in the heart treatment sector of medicine, which is a boon to humanity. The advancement in tools and devices used for detecting the disease and operating on the concerned patient have reduced the death rates to a significant level. The early detection of heart diseases helped in decreasing the number of heart surgeries over a period of time. The advanced diagnostics, the technology-driven non-surgical/surgical procedures, high-tech healthcare delivery systems, digital patient monitoring, and follow-up methods, super-fast effective communications, and clinical research are going to provide better treatment options for heart patients.
