  2. SSCS DL activities H1-2011 • DL Lectures • 26 reported DL presentations • Various locations: 19 in USA/Canada, 0 in Europe/ M. East, 5 in Asia, 2 in S-Americas • DL Tour • In progress: Japan (Chapters of Tokyo & Kansai) • Last time this region 10: 2006

  3. SSCS DL roster • Term ends 2011 • Term ends 2012 Note: DL is expected to give an average of 2-3 talks during the term

  4. SSCS DL activities 2011 Expenses 2011 Budget allocated 2012: 45K USD

  5. SSCS DL Tour proposal: 2 Tours/Year • We have 4 main regions: (USA/Canada (1-7), Europe/M-East (8), S-Americas (9), Asia (10)) • If 2 DL-Tours/year then repetition in  2 years • Gives more visibility of SSCS in the Region / Chapter - area • Might require more DL involvement • Load of DLs can be reduced by appointing a so-called ‘guest DL’ who is only active in a DL Tour.

  6. SSCS DL – Membership Comm. • Discussion to put the seminar slides of all DLs on-line in the SSCS educational database • With hyperlink from/to Chapter website • Done already by Denver/Santa Clara Chapters • Can be audio-enhanced (no video)

  7. SSCS DL wrap up • Please email me nominations for people who you think would be good additions to the DL roster for 2012. • The committee compiles a running list and votes on the list.
