The Process • Create a petition for your proposed initiative • Get ~325,000 signatures of registered voters • Send the initiative to the legislature, which can either:-pass the initiative into law -send it and a legislative alternative to ballot -ignore/reject it; in which case it gets sent to the ballot for the voters to decide
