Summary from Survey Significant interest in pilot programs, urban committee, and mentoring opportunities. 2/3 4-H Afterschool, ˝ summer day camps, 1/5 campus-based Nearly 40% or more in energy, robotics, digital filmmaking/photo., GPS/GIS, and engineering. Partnerships are overwhelmingly seen as key to successful urban 4-H SET programs. Hands-on, experiential, relevant, and engaging programming is seen as key to success.

Why Youth Filmmaking? “Curriculum that combines science with leadership and civic engagement.” From 4-H SET in Urban Communities Survey – Strongest Needs 4-H Filmmaking Studio. 40 survey respondents currently programming in filmmaking and/or photography. Potential for Teens as Teachers. Sharing, program celebration, and recognition.
