Central American Regional Initiatives • Regional Response Mechanisms • Solicit CEPREDENAC to continue efforts. • Develop SOP and political buy-in effort will • be addressed through a FY04 project. • The UHR/CFAC deployment SOP will also • address how this regional military unit will • support National EOCs. • Civil Military Coordination Workshops • These workshops will serve as forums to • develop and test SOPs. They can also be • proposed by MILGPs as TCA events. • Regional Training Center (Panama) • Center can be used to conduct training such as Search and Rescue (SAR) and Medical First Responder (MFR), to include regional exercises. • CENTAM Emergency Operation Center Integration • Integration will be achieved by addressing Political buy-in of EOC Integration concept, protocols/SOPs development, infrastructure assessments and connectivity. • Panama • Guatemala • Honduras • Costa Rica (In progress) • Regional Warehouse Initiatives • Currently there is at least one Disaster Relief Warehouse in each Country, with the latest completed warehouse in Nicaragua and an on • going construction in Cost Rica.
