  5. Merits Recognize outstanding performance or exceptional appearance Demerits Recognize deficient performance or appearance Examples: OPA (Outstanding Personal Appearance) – 5 Merits Improperly Shined Shoes – 3 Demerits No demerits for one week – 2 Merits Merits vs. Demerits

  6. “PR” or “White Slip” Report of Improper or outstanding performance Submitted by faculty, staff, or rank holding cadets Includes Cadet Privates in official capacities (e.g. Officer of the Guard, duty team members, etc. Must include: Name, CWID #, Date of Occurrence, Description of Action, and Signature of Reporting Official Time for Processing Performance Reports Written and rendered within 72 hours PerformanceReports (PR)

  8. “ERW”—CC Form 54 Response to a Performance Report Must be typed [form found on-line] Chance to set the record straight Explanation Extenuation Mitigation Due to Bn TAC within 24 hours; Commandant’s Office no later than 72 hours after the receipt of the PR PRs for which ERWs are not returned may be adjudicated without cadet input Explanation Required in Writing (ERW)

  14. Academic Major, Cum GPA, Last Term GPA, Hours Earned, etc. Conduct Confinements, Tours, Merits/Demerits, including details Leadership Must be filled in by Cadet Physical Physical Training and Ht/Wt History Information updated each day at 0630 M-F Commandant Information System (CIS)

Class Attendance is Mandatory Punishment for Unexcused Class Absences 1st 3D 2nd 3D 3rd 3D 4th 5D 5th 5D 6th 10D 7th > 10D/10T referred to Academic Review Board 10th Academic Discharge for following semester Parents are notified by mail after 5th unexcused absence You have 7 week days to submit excuses to Academic Officer Class Absences

Class Attendance is Mandatory All members of the Guard are directed to attend class when their schedules permit Members of the Guard will not: Be absent from scheduled tests or labs Be excused from submitting assignments on time No more than four (4) absences per semester due to Guard Duty Class Absences and Guard

Appeals (NEW) • Grounds for appealing punishment: • The Hearing Officer or board failed to follow due process • That significant information has been discovered since the Board or Hearing, which would probably change the result, but which could not, in the exercise of due diligence, have been presented to the Board or Hearing.

Company Clerks Post POs and Excessive Demerit Lists on Company Bulletin Board Regulations and Discipline NCOs Cadet tasked with handling all PRs and ERWs within each company; Drop Box and Green Book Company Commanders & Company XO Work with Company and Battalion Tactical Officers for recommending and adjudicating punishments Final adjudication: Commandant and Assistant Commandant for Discipline for Class I and II offenses Positions and Roles
