  9. Once there was a hare. He was walking beside a forest.

  10. Suddenly he saw a tortoise . It was moving very slowly.

  11. He laughed at it saying-``Hurry up, you are so slow! Can’t you move a little faster?”

  12. The tortoise felt angry and said, “Why don’t we run a race and see who wins?”

  13. The hare laughed even more. “Why not, let’s do that.”

  14. They agreed to start from under a tree and finish at a place near the forest.

  15. Look, listen and read So they started their race. In a few minutes the hare was out of sight.

  16. “The tortoise must be far behind , ” he said to himself, “ I am already half-way through . Why not have a nap beside that tree?” And he fell asleep.
