Childhood Education =shared responsibility • HOME is the primary place of learning • Parent involvement is encouraged • 0-3 parent involvement is mandatory • Every child and family has value & strengths • Family is the principle decision maker for their child and their education • Respecting family and cultural diversity • When you providing support to parents • helps reduce family stress • promotes the family's ability to cope
Multi-disciplinary TEAM APPROACH • Staff share their expertise • Provide a "total" program to the child and family • Coordinate among professionals • To meet EACH child's educational needs
