Animation Types • Animation Schema: apply pre designed animation on the selected slide/slides; usually this animation take same effect on all selected slides objects (text box, tables, pictures, ...), thus we called it schema. • Custom Animation: give you ability to create animation you wish as you need, by determining direction of moving, type of it, changing font size, and many others.

  4. Animation Types 2 • Slide Transition: apply time constraint on animated objects to synchronize their motion on the slide show preview.

  5. Applying Animation Schema • To apply animation schema onto your presentation: select Animation Schema from slide show menu to preview all pre designed animation schemas on the task pane. • As you select any one of schemas, it directly applied to the selected slide only, and we can knew that from the small star to the right of it.

  6. Applying Animation Schema 2 • Animation Schema applied directly onto all objects in the selected slide. • You can apply selected schema onto all presentation slides by pressing “Apply to All Slides” button in task pane.

  7. Adding Custom animation • Go to slide Show menu and select custom animation, it will opened on the task pane, select the object you want to add your own animation on it (this object may be single list item), and press “Add Effect” in task pane. • Each one of these effects have its special properties, which you can customize as you desire to achieve your presentation goals. • Each custom animation will have distinct number to distinguish it from others.

  8. Making Slide Transition • Select Slide Transition from Slide Show menu, then apply transition you want on the selected slide, usually slide transition applied to the whole slide. • You can modify both speed and sound on the selected transition. • Transition presented on the slide show preview, and it triggered by mouse click by default; you can determine the time period to apply the transition in seconds.

  9. Hyper links • In MS-PowerPoint, you can make all following links: • Link to an URL (External web page). • Link to run External program. • Link to Internal slide.

  10. Link to External web page • Select text you want it to link you with a desired web page; then add hyperlink to it from insert menu. • Insert Hyperlink dialog box will appear, in the link to menu, select “Existing File or Web Page”, and write the target web page URL in the “address” text box

Link to run External program (Existing File) • Select text you want it link you to desired file. • Select Hyperlink from insert menu, and in link to menu select “Existing file or web page”. • In the “look in” area, browse for the desired file. • Note: you should but this file with your presentation, to avoid impairment problems in case of copying your work to other platform.

  14. Making Hyperlink to Internal slide • This type of hyperlinks is important for navigating your presentation on the slide show view. • Usually you do same steps with previous types of hyperlink, but in the “Insert Hyperlink” dialog you should select “Place in this Document” from link to menu. • This will show titles of all slides in your presentation, and you can select any of them as you want.
