Requirements, Recommendations and Expectations for Enrollment in Biomedical Sciences Program • Required: Current enrollment in both accelerated science and accelerated math. • Recommended: 90% average in college preparatory science and math courses. • Recommended: Strong work ethic and ability to work well independently and in a group. • Expected: students who enroll in the program have the intention of completing all four courses of the program sequence.

Principles of Biomedical Science Course Description • determine the factors that led to the death of a fictional person • investigate lifestyle choices and medical treatments that might have prolonged the person’s life. • investigate the human body systems & health conditions (heart disease, diabetes, sickle-cell disease, hypercholesterolemia, infectious diseases). • Introduction to human physiology, medicine, research processes and bioinformatics.
