One ran off to see some friends,
Now there are nine.
One runs back to get his books.
Now there are eight.
A little slice of heaven!
One moves to another state,
Now there are seven.
Each with the very best “kicks.”
One plays too rough, sits on the bench,
Now there are six.
One throws up and goes home sick,
Now there are five.
One goes to the restroom,
Now there are four.
One calls home and gets a ride,
Now there are three.
One forgot and left the room...
Now there are two.
One went in to help the teacher,
Now there is one.
When he gets home he tells his friends,
“My teacher thinks I’m really smart.
I think she’s so cool!”
