  2. CASTILLA Y LEÓN The largest Administrative Region in Spain and EU Valladolid is the capital of Castilla y León and it was also the first capital of the Spanish Kingdom. Is an ideal place for you to study Spanish due to its status as a cultural city, to its humanistic tradition, its size, location and its varied leisure offer for all visitors.

Size, Location and Weather • Located in a strategic area in the northern half of Spain, the city has a total of 400,000 inhabitants. • Valladolid has a continental Mediterranean climate that, along with its central location on the plateau, brings cold winters, with frequent fog, and very hot and dry summers, with maximum temperatures of about 30°C.
