  4. centipede (n.) • A creature • with 100 feet I was surprised to find a centipede in my garden.

  5. impediment (n.) • Something • that stands in one’s way • an obstacle Porky the pig has a speech impediment.

  6. millipede (n.) • A creature • with a 1,000 feet. A millipedehas between 50 to 400 feet .

  7. pedal (n.) • A lever • moved with one’s foot My bicycle has two pedals.

  8. peddler (n.) • A person • who goes from door to door on foot trying to sell a product A peddler came to the door selling magazine subscriptions.

  9. pedestrian (n.) • A person • who walks across the street on foot Pedestrians must be careful crossing the street in New York City.

  10. pedicure (n.) • A foot treatment • that could include soaking the feet and polishing the toenails Many girls like to have a pedicureduring the summer.

  11. quadruped (n.) • Acreature • with four feet A horse is an example of a quadruped.

  12. tripod (n.) • A stand • three-footed often used to balance a camera I placed my camera on a tripod so it wouldn’t fall.
