  1. Mass Effect: LiaraT’SoniAmigurumi I don’t own Mass Effect or Bioware. Feel free to use and share the pattern, but please don’t sell it or the amigurumi. This is an easy pattern, suitable for beginners if you know the basic stitches. Stitches used are single crochet (sc), slip stitch (slst), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), increase (inc), and invisible decrease (invdec). Finished figure is approximately 6”/15cm tall. What you’ll need - yarn in light blue, gray, darker blue, white (I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in clear blue, Red Heart Soft in Light Heather Gray, and scrap dark blue and white yarn) - safety eyes (15mm shown here) - size F/3.75 mm crochet hook (if using worsted weight yarn) - yarn needle to sew pieces together - stuffing Head and body - start with light blue yarn - work in the round • 6 sc in magic ring (6) • inc x 6 (12) • *sc, inc* x 6 (18) • *sc x 2, inc* x 6 (24) 5) sc x 3, inc, sc x 2, inc x 2 (now, in same row, start to make hair thingies) ch 13, slst x 3, sc x 6, hdc x 3 sc, ch 17, slstx 3, sc x 6, hdc x 4, dc x 3 sc x 2, ch 21, slst x 3, sc x 6, hdc x 6, dc x 5 sc x 2, ch 21 (now switch which side of the chain you place your stitches to return so the head looks symmetric), slst x 3, sc x 6, hdc x 6, dc x 5 sc x 2, ch 17, slst x 3, sc x 6, hdc x 4, dc x 3 sc, ch 13, slst x 3, sc x 6, hdc x 3 inc x 2, sc x 2, inc, sc x 3 (30) 6) *sc x 4, inc* x 6 (36) 7-10) sc around for 4 rounds (36) • *sc x 4, invdec* x 6 (30) • *sc x 3, invdec* x 6 (24) • *sc x 2, invdec* x 6 (18) • *sc, invdec* x 6 (12) • sc around (12), add safety eyes and stuff head • switch to white yarn, sc around (12) • *sc, inc* x 6 (18) • *sc x 2, inc* x 6 (24) 19 – 26) sc around for 8 rounds (24) • *sc x 2, invdec* x 6 (18) • *sc, invdec* x 6 (12) • stuff body, invdec around until flap covers hole, sew closed and finish off www.diygeekery.wordpress.com

Arms (make 2) - start with light blue yarn • 4 sc in magic ring (4) • inc x 4 (8) • *sc x 2, invdec* x 2 (6) 4 – 10) switch to white yarn, sc around for 7 rounds (6), slst, FO and leave tail Legs (make 2) - use gray yarn • 6 sc in magic ring (6) • *sc, inc* x 6 (9) 3-4) sc around x 2 (9) 5) *sc x 2, invdec* x 2, sc (7) 6-10) sc around for 5 rounds (7), slst, FO and leave tail Jacket - use white yarn • ch 17 • turn, sc x 16 (16) • ch 1, turn, sc x 16 (16) • ch 2, turn, sc x 16, inc (18) • ch 2, turn, sc x 18, inc (20) • ch 2, turn, sc x 20, inc (22) 7-12) ch 1, turn, sc x 22 for 6 rows (22) 13) ch 1, turn, sc x 11 (11), starts first side of jacket bottom • ch 1, turn, sc x 11 (11) • ch 1, turn, sc x 9, invdec (10) 16-18) ch 1, turn, sc x 10 for 3 rows (10), FO and weave in tail Now repeat steps 13-18 for other side of jacket bottom, starting at outside edge Assembly - sew legs to body (stuff lightly) - sew hair thingies back (I anchored them tothe base of the head with a few stitches, instead of sewing them flat) - decorate jacket with dark blue and gray yarn (I used embroidery stitches for the border and sewed on chains of dark blue yarn) - sew jacket to body - sew arms to jacket (stuff lightly) This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.
