METROCENTRE - TRANSPORT • 23% of visitors use public transport • Bus station for local and regional services - 6,400 buses per week • Railway station - 590 trains a week • MetroCentre is located on the A1 Western Bypass, 15 minutes from Newcastle airport and seven minutes from Newcastle City Centre • 9,250 free car spaces in multi-storey and surface car parks all round the centre • 4,800 coach visits a year • Connections to local cycle routes

  5. METROCENTRE - REDEVELOPMENT • Redevelopment to provide 371,000 sq.ft. including - New 180,000 sq. ft department store for Debenhams - 28 new shop units • New 1,100 space multi-storey car park • New transport interchange with covered waiting areas integrated with the malls

  6. New Red Mall and new multi-storey car park New Public Transport Interchange and associated infrastructure work METROCENTRE, GATESHEAD
