Lesson XIX Notes To identify a verb’s conjugation, look at the 2nd principal part 1st conjugation: -āre 2nd conjugation: -ēre 3rd conjugation: -ere 3rd conjugation verbs are special because their stem vowel is weak. To conjugate, take off the WHOLE –ERE and add these endings: -ō -imus -is -itis -it -unt The imperatives are as follows: -e! -ite!
