  9. Earworm • A song or tune that a person hears repeatedly in their head.

  10. Embed • A journalist placed in a military unit in order to provide news coverage during a war.

  11. Exercise widow • A woman who does not see her husband as much as she would like because he spends a lot of time trying to keep fit by doing physical exercise.

  12. Facepalm • The action of placing your hand flat across your face in order to show that you are frustrated or embarrassed about something.

  13. Flatforms also flatform shoes • Shoes that have a very thick sole which adds height but keeps the feet flat.

  14. Meme • A concept or idea that spreads very quickly via the Internet.

  15. Nosococomephrenia • The condition of being depressed because of a long stay in hospital.

  16. Obamamania • The condition of being a very enthusiastic supporter of newly-elected US President Barack Obama.

  17. OMG • Used to show surprise or excitement about something, especially in text messages, e-mails and social networking websites.

  18. Photobombing • Ruining other people's photos by making silly faces and/or moving into the background immediately before the photos are taken.

  19. Planking • The activity of lying face-down in an unusual location and being photographed

  26. Xenotransplantation • The surgical transfer of cells, tissues or whole organs from one species to another.

  27. Femivore • A woman who chooses to look after her home and family as her main job, and who grows and provides food herself as much as possible
