Scientists across the globe are conducting a number of researches on the product to unveil the reality behind the claims of treating heart, skin, eye and mental diseases. To make the picture clear, we have come up with this blog post. Why do we need to incorporate Omega-3 Fish Oil in our diet? In scientific studies, it was found that a lack of dietary intake of Omega-3 fatty acids is directly linked to many health diseases. Since the human body cannot produce the omega-3 fatty acids on its own, we have to get it from our diet. Today, around 45% of people in the USA consume the Omega-3 Fish Oil Softgels on a daily basis, making it one of the most famous supplements in the country. How much Omega-3 you should consume?

  2. The requirement of the Omega-3 fatty acids may differ from one person to another, depending on the age, sex, and other health factors. Omega-3s play a crucial role in the membrane of body cells and help with the functioning of the lungs, heart, immune and hormone system. As mentioned earlier, our body cannot produce the fatty acids itself, people consider incorporating Omega-3 fatty acids in their diet. Now, the question is what is the ideal intake for the omega-3 supplement? Several nations have published the guidelines for the Omega-3 intake but they vary from one to another. as such for now, there is no particular rule about how much omega-3 a person should consume on daily basis? Researches on the other hands suggest that different age requires the different amount of Omega-3 fatty acids and higher intake is only recommended to cure some certain diseases. Here are the dietary needs below: Adults- male and female According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), there is no specific data available to recommend the daily dose of Omega-3 supplement. In fact, there is no particular recommendation for the EPA, and DHA separately. Other scientific researches have also recommended Adequate Intake (AI) for the Omega-3s. One report published back in 2008 suggests that adult males and females should not exceed the daily intake of 0.25 gm of EPA plus DHA per day for their AI. The NIH also recommends 1.6 g for males and females. Pregnant, breastfeeding, and children People should incorporate more Omega-3 in their daily diet when they are pregnant as given below: 0.3g of EPA+DHA out of which 0.2g should be DHA 1.4g of ALA during pregnancy

  3. 1.3g of ALA while breastfeeding The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has advised women who are pregnant, lactating and young children should add a higher amount of Omega-3 in their daily diet. Alongside this, male and female infants who are up to the age of 1 should consume the 0.5 g of Omega-3 fatty acids. The overdose of any supplement can be harmful to your body and health. Therefore, it is crucial to make sure that the dose of your Omega-3 should not exceed the 3 gm in a day unless it is directed by your physicians. For those who don’t like to eat fishes can find Omega-3 as a great supplement to fulfil their needs.
