The Case for Versatile Storage System

This paper discusses the case for a versatile storage system that addresses underutilized resources and application specialization in large-scale platforms. The system can be configured at deployment time and coupled with the target application, leading to higher performance and scalability. The architecture includes access modules, storage nodes, managers, and dispatchers to handle various operations such as metadata management, data security, and communication.
