US Senate Elections to the United States Senate are to be held on November 6, 2012, with 33 of the 100 seats in the Senate being contested in the General Election whose winners will a serve six-year term from Jan. 3, 2013 until Jan. 3, 2019. Currently the US Senate has 51 Democrats 47 Republicans 2 Independents

US Senate Washington Michael Baumgartner(R) Elected Experience:Washington State Senator, 2010 – presentStatement:As a State Senator, Michael has shown he can work with both parties to find pragmatic solutions, balance budgets, reform government spending and improve education. He sponsored legislation to protect higher education funding and prevent further cutbacks.

We need to rebuild infrastructure and create a new clean energy economy. Let’s recommit to our public schools so kids can truly compete in the global economy. I was a legislator previously at a time when things got done. We were not mired in divisive, partisan politics.

The number of signatures must be equal to or in excess of 4% of the total number of votes cast for Governor in the last election. Referendum Bills are proposed laws referred to the voters by the Legislature.
