  2. TAP-Related Issues • The FMT will assess whether and how to include an extra step in the R-PP review to allow for the submission by the REDD country of an R-PP that already reflects and responds to comments provided by the TAP. • The FMT reiterates its call for additional nominations of experts for their possible inclusion into the Roster of Experts. Participants, Observers and other stakeholders are invited to make such nominations, taking into account the various fields of expertise relevant to preparatory work for REDD readiness. • The anonymity of TAP members tasked with the review of R-PPs will be lifted and their names will be revealed to the REDD country submitting the R-PP and be made publicly available after the R-PP review has been completed.

  3. New Readiness Preparation Proposal Template (1/2) • The PC requests the FMT to revise the Readiness Preparation Proposal (R-PP) template to reflect the PC discussion, and to post it on the FCPF website by July 13, 2009. • The PC requests the FMT to revise Program Document FMT 2009-1-Rev. 2 Review and Assessment of Readiness Plans, (including proposed assessment criteria for R-PPs), and to post the revision on the FCPF website by July 13, 2009. • The PC is invited to submit comments on both revised documents by July 24, 2009. • The FMT is requested to take these comments into account and produce versions of both documents by July 31, 2009, for use by REDD Country Participants for Readiness Preparation Proposals to be submitted to the FMT by August 24, 2009.

  4. New Readiness Preparation Proposal Template (2/2) • The PC agrees to use the July 31, 2009 document versions for submission of R-PPs and assessment of R-PPs, on an interim basis, for the R-PPs to be considered at its October meeting. • The PC agrees to discuss the suitability of the interim R-PP template and assessment criteria at its October 2009 meeting, and strive to arrive at a set of documents and criteria at that time.

  5. Submission of R-PPs • The FMT will contact the REDD countries selected into the FCPF (with the exception of Guyana, Indonesia and Panama) requesting that they advise the FMT when they plan to submit their R-PPs • The FMT will assess the possibility of organizing knowledge sessions on R-PPs with the intention of facilitating the REDD countries’ formulation of their R-PPs. The FMT will strive to use distance learning technology in this endeavor.

  6. Disclosure of Financial Support for REDD Readiness • The budget sheet included in the new R-PP format provides the framework for a comprehensive presentation of funding sources available to each REDD country • The FMT will continue its analysis of funding sources available for REDD readiness • The UNFCCC Secretariat offers to make information available on its REDD web platform if requested

  7. Guidance from the Bureau • The FMT will seek the guidance of the Bureau prior to engaging expenses above US$50,000, in particular with respect to activities undertaken as part of REDD Methodology Support

  8. FCPF and UN-REDD • The FMT will report on the complementarity and harmonization between the two initiatives • The FMT will assess the possibility of organizing a joint session between the two initiatives, possibly at or around the Annual Meeting in October 2009
