Soil Profiles relief Soil Monitoring 16 x 16 km grid – WP2 PROFISOL – Romanian database for soil profilesHomogeneous soil-terrain-climate units (TEO)


Coverage with soil profiles of the mapping units resulted from the intersection between soil (1:200,000) and Homogeneous soil-terrain-climate units (1:500,000) layers PROFISOL RO-MONITORING PROFISOL & RO-MONITORING

  • Sampling design and compatibility with WP2 recommendations

    • Monitoring : Sampling strategy : grid 20 x 20 m

    • PROFISOL : Soil profiles with 4 replicates for undisturbed samples

    Existing databases (PROFISOL & Monitoring) structured according with FAO-MicroLeis are in the process of conversion to SoDa

      • Bulk density as predicted by soil-mechanics based models considering soil compaction based on the weight of upper soil column to the considered depth
