  2. Logo was invented by Seymour Papert at MIT, as a tool for helping children to ‘take control of computers’. Some claim that it helps children to develop mathematical concepts. LOGO

  3. Logo is a powerful programming language, but its graphical features are the ones used most often. LOGO enables one to draw and design patterns of different sorts. LOGO

  4. One can work step by step in command mode, or write editable procedures which can be saved and adapted. This is the best way of working. LOGO

  5. Many find working with LOGO creative. It is a good programme for helping one to develop logical problem solving approaches. LOGO

  6. LOGO Useful for: • making and testing hypotheses • problem posing and problem solving • higher level thinking skills - analysis, synthesis • essential programming skills • logical thinking • creativity • mathematical skills, including the properties of angles and geometric shapes • uses the computer as a 'tutee'
