  1. A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad BeginningBy: lemony Snicket A Book Report by: Michael G.

  2. Characters Violet, the oldest Baudelaire child. Klaus, the middle Baudelaire child. Sunny, the youngest Baudelaire child. Mom, Mrs. Baudelaire. Dad, Mr. Baudelaire. Mr. Poe, Friend of the Baudelaire parents. Count Olaf, legal Baudelaire guardians, evil and horrifying.

  3. Setting This story takes place on the beach when they go play for a little and that is when there parents died, it also takes place in Count Olaf’s house because he is there closest relative, and Mr. Poe’s house.

  4. Summary The summery of the book “The Bad Beginning” is that there parents died in a fire and they had to live at Mr. Poe’s house for two days and the two days were the longest days of there lives. Or so they thought. Then they had to go to Count Olaf’s house!

  5. Conflict The conflict of the story “The Bad Beginning” is when they live with Count Olaf, they have to do all of his chores. They only have one bedroom with only one bed and three children. The kids have all of there parent’s money because there parents died and Count Olaf tries to marry the oldest Baudelaire child, Violet so he can have all of there money.

  6. Resolution On the night of the marriage, Violet signed the contract with her left hand and not her right because she did not want to marry Count Olaf but if she rejected Count Olaf would kill the youngest Baudelaire child, Sunny. Since Violet wrote with her right hand and she wrote with her left hand on the contract, the marriage was off.

  7. Critic’s Corner The highlight of this story is when violet built a grappling hook with a light stand and some of her ugly clothes when she tried to save her little sister Sunny from the 30 foot tower when Count Olaf trapped Sunny in a bird cage over the edge of the building. Yes, I enjoyed this book a lot.

  8. Critic’s Corner 2 I would recommend this book to all my friends and my family and maybe even strangers.
