    4. C. Right of Man August 27, 1789 – National Assembly adopts “Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen” 1 – Men are born equal 2 – Freedoms of speech, press, religion 3 – Liberty, Equality, & Fraternity

    5. D. King Force to Paris 1000s of nobles leave France after the end of the Old Regime Émigrés – French for emigrants Other nobles stay with the king and advise him to crush the revolution

    6. Louis calls troops to Versailles Women’s March on Versailles – 1000s of French women march to the king’s palace demanding food
