  1. March 2012 - A Publication for Georgia Power Retirees Each year chapters from our Ambassadors and Citizens organizations are encouraged to partner on projects throughout the state. This enables both organizations to increase the amount of support and service hours provided to charities in our communities. Metro Central Ambassadors work the canteen at the 241 blood drive while General Office Citizens work registration Columbus Ambassadors and Citizens volunteer together each year to serve spaghetti at the local Girls Club

  3. Make plans now to attend the Ambassadors annual retreat at Epworth by the Sea on St. Simons Island. You will find time to visit with fellow retirees, explore the island, enjoy fun nightly programs, play horseshoes and bingo, or just spend your days relaxing and visiting the Ellie Room! Treats from Retreat Rome Reese Bars 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs2/3 cup crunchy peanut butter1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar3/4 stick (6 Tbsp.) melted margarine Combine the above ingredients and blend until smooth.  Press into a buttered 9x13 pan. 1/2 cup margarine1/4 cup cocoa1 cup brown sugar1/4 cup milk1 cup powdered sugar Bring the above margarine and cocoa to a boil.  Add the brown sugar and milk.  Stir in the powdered sugar. Pour over the peanut butter mixture immediately.  Refrigerate several hours. Cut into squares.  Never use a gallon of words to express a spoonful of thoughts. Rome Lemon Cream Squares 1 box lemon cake mix1/2 cup butter/margarine1 egg at room temperature1 box powdered sugar (save a little to sprinkle on top later)8 oz. softened cream cheese2 eggs2 tsp. lemon extract Mix cake mix, butter, and 1 egg.  Press into bottom of greased 9x13 pan.  Set aside.  Mix the rest of the ingredients together for 5 minutes.  Pour over cake mixture in pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.  Cool.  Cut into small squares and sprinkle with leftover powdered sugar.
