  2. Welcome to the Classy Cat Bank!! Meow, Classy Cats! I am so glad you are watching this power point! You can show your family everything you have learned about money! You are such smart Classy Cats!!! You can show your family just how well you can identify coins and how much they are worth. You can even tell your family about the Presidents who are on these coins! Don’t forget to show your family how great you are at making fair trades!!! Let’s get started!

  3. PENNY This is a penny. It is worth one cent. Abraham Lincoln is on the penny. He was our 16th President. The Lincoln Memorial is on the back of the penny. This is a special building to help us remember President Lincoln.

  4. NICKEL This is the nickel. It is worth five cents. You would need five pennies to equal one nickel. Thomas Jefferson is on the front of the nickel. He was our third President of the United States. His home, Monticello, is on the back of the nickel.

  5. DIME The dime is worth ten cents. You would need ten pennies OR two nickels to equal one dime. Franklin D. Roosevelt is on the front of the dime. He had a home in Warm Springs, Georgia, called The Little White House. He was the 32nd President of the United States. On the back of the dime is a torch with an oak branch to the right, and an olive branch to the left.

  6. QUARTER The quarter is worth twenty-five cents. You would need twenty-five pennies or five nickels to equal one quarter. George Washington, our very first President of the United States, is on the front of the quarter. An eagle is on the back of the quarter.

  7. DOLLAR A dollar bill is worth one dollar. You would need 100 pennies to equal one dollar. George Washington is on the front of the dollar bill.

  17. Heads or Tails? Tell your family the difference between the heads and tails of a coin. Point to the tail side of the penny below. Then, point to the heads side of the penny.

  18. Let’s make a fair trade! • How many pennies would you need to make a nickel? • How many pennies would you need to make a dime? • How many pennies would you need to make a quarter? • How many pennies would you need tomake one dollar?
