  1. Mary LeRose • I would like to obtain a degree in Bioengineering and perform research for the medical field. • I volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. • I enjoy dancing as well as playing tennis and piano. • I like to be very involved in politics and know what is going on in the world around us.

  2. Society seen as unsustainable with technology • The definition of unsustainable: something is not able to be maintained without causing damage to a resource • Humans’ work value can be seen as the resource. If something mechanical can be made in order to replace a worker, it will lower the value of the work that that person can do. • An increase in technology will also damage the work force. Jobs that have previously been accomplished by the work of human labor would now be done by a technological service therefore decreasing the amount of workers needed. • As technology advances, humans will rely more on it and depend on technology to resolve their problems.

  5. Personal page • Personal: • Become a successful Electrical Engineer. • Social life: • Have a family and take care of my parents. Do Not forget to follow me on twitter. • Avocation: • Enjoy my life @Abdulr_A_AlAli

  6. Technology = social isolation • According to a study done by University of Arizona, social isolation is growing at a high rate in America. • The study found that a quarter of Americans say that they have no one to discuss personal problems with, which is more than double the number found in a 1985 study. • parents and teachers worried just as much about TV causing social isolation in the '50s, as they do now, with the iPod. http://health.usnews.com/health-news/news/articles/2012/08/23/modern-technology-adds-to-worldwide-obesity-woes-report

  7. Josh Berkley • A close but small circle of friends • Having only enough to give me what I need for my means of life, but the things I have I would like to be be nice/of high quality • To become an engineer and own my own firm in the future, currently referee soccer • Possibly becoming involved in politics after retiring, I have conservative views • Enjoy being involved/educated in political scene • Hobbies include several sports i.e. soccer, lacrosse as well as playing music • Possibly taking up extreme hobbies i.e. skydiving, surfing, bungee jumping • My avocation would be to improve the living standard of the world

  8. IS OIL UNSUSTAINABLE? • Recent studies have shown that of the top five oil producing countries, only one is using less than they produce • This current path could lead to an unsustainable energy source in the future • Relation: I think the auto industry has been dragging its feet with fuel efficiency and I’d like to change that • Finding a renewable energy source that is cost effective and efficient is also a goal http://www.esa.doc.gov/Blog/2012/02/22/crude-oil-and-gasoline-prices-2012
