  • Horrible. The most hated person of all time—especially in that book.
  • Selfish, superficial, and self-centered. Proud and conceited. She is beautiful, and was finely educated in a prestigious school. Rich. Located in the upper range of a social hierarchy.
  • Good reputation and upper-class.

  • Meets with Darcy’s class prejudice, but fails to be with par with his honor and virtue.
  • Continuously tries to win his affections.
  • Jealous of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth.
    • Prevents their marriage by ridiculing the poor manners of Lizzy’s family.
  • Jealous of Mr. Bingley and Jane.
  • Is implied that she helped separate Bingley and Jane.
