New TVCs made for Notebooks, Home UPS & Subwoofers. • A joint promotion for Home UPS with the film ‘Guru’ • TVC aired on Disney channel Hungama TV along with a contest offering Intex mobile phones as prizes.   21. Enhancing Brand Equity • Intex was an associate sponsor in ESPN and Star Cricket for India-England Test series . July 2007 and India – Australia Test series Jul-Aug 2007. TVC’s were also aired during the World Cup Cricket Tournament in Max / Sab Channels. • This year TVC’s on PC, DVD Players, Home Theatre, Home UPS aired on TV channels- Star News, Zee Business, NDTV, IBN7. • Participation in IITF at Pragati Maidan since 2005-06. Received Special Commendation Medal from ITPO in IT & Electronics Category for 2007. • Display van for Home UPS and Mobile Phone across Delhi, Haryana & NCR, March-April,2007 • PR activity, commenced in 2004-05, in electronic & print media profiling company news, personalities and products. • Products submitted to various trade journals, newspapers & magazines for technical evaluation & benchmarking.

  31. INTEX Industries • The manufacturing facility is based at Jammu, Bari Bhramana spread on 80,000 Sq. Ft of Land in which 30,000 Sq. Ft is built up area. • Commercial production started in March, 2004. It enjoys income tax, sales tax and excise tax exemptions • This modern facility manufactures desktop PCs, subwoofers/speakers and UPS that are sold under the INTEX brand. • Certified as ISO 14000: 2004 EMS unit.

Kipav Industries • Kipav has been formed for the purpose of setting up a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, where it enjoys excise and income tax benefits • The locational advantage of this unit and the statutory benefits available for a period of 10 years commencing FY 06-07 are motivating factors to set up another manufacturing base. • The group has acquired Industrial land of 5000 sq mts.

  34. Kipav Industries • Pending construction of the factory at Baddi, we have commenced production at a unit in Nalagarh •  This unit has been commissioned on April 3, 2007 and is producing UPS (for desktops) and Home UPS (Inverters). • Spread over a production area of 32,000 sq ft, the unit currently has a team of 50 employees to look after the production operations. • Manpower strength is expected to touch 150 within next four months. •  Production of SMPS and Desktop Computers for sale and PCBs and transformers for captive consumption will commence in the coming months for which state-of-the art machinery and equipment has been ordered.
