What are the ISTE Standards for Teachers? • Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity • Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments • Model digital age work and learning • Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility • Engage in professional growth and leadership

Did I Meet the Standards? • I will discuss each of the following questions to show how I have met the ISTE standards for teachers. • How did my work in this course prepare me to facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity? • How did my work in this course prepare me to design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments? • How did my work in this course prepare me to model digital age work and learning? • How did my work in this course prepare me to promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility? • How did my work in this course allow me to engage in professional growth and leadership?

Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity • WebQuest -Engages student learning by investigating Bald Eagle habitats -Promotes creativity by making a poster with information gathered -Models collaborative knowledge with peers • Mobile Learning Project - Promotes creativity by making songs about elements • Engages student learning by using their cell phone - Promotes student’s reflection when they are able to hear the song on their own device - Models collaborative knowledge by working with peers • Instructional Comic -Promotes students to be creative and invent their own comic -Engages student learning

Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments • Interactive Whiteboard Activity -Designed and developed using digital tools to maximize learning -Customized learning activity to address different learning styles, working strategies, and digital tools • Field Experience -Technology-enriched learning environments that enables all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress -Customize and personalized learning activities to address students diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools • Concept Map -Designed and developed to help maximize student learning -Promotes creativity for students to create their own concept map -Address multiple concepts for diverse learners

Model Digital Age Work and Learning • Screen Capture -Provides communication of information and ideas to students and peers. -Demonstrates fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations. • Video Capture -Allows teachers to collaborate with students, peers, and parents. -Provides communication of relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers. • Web 2.0 (Edmodo) - Allows teachers to collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using a digital tools. -Provides communication of relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using digital tools. -Teachers are able to model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate , and use resources to support learning.

Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility • Course Discussion -The discussion allows me to demonstrate how I would show responsibilities evolving digitals tools and exhibit ethical behavior as a professional. -Also, the discussion allows me to model, and teach safe, legal and ethical use on digital tools. • Web 2.0 (Photobucket) -Promotes and model digital etiquette by having a class account using Photobucket. - Students will learn responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information from the appropriate photos used. -Photobucket allows the teacher to model cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with students showing pictures of other cultures using the digital tool. • Interactive Learning Activities -This Internet activity address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies.

Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership • Wordle -Wordle allows teachers to participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve learning by either creating a personal Wordle to engage the students or use one that someone else has by exploring on the Internet. • Screen Capture -By making a screen capture for this course, I was able to exhibit leadership skills by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion on showing how to attach a document to an email. • Field Experience -From my field experience, I was able to evaluate and reflect on current professional practice to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning by watching how teachers incorporated iPads during lessons to engage students. - The field experience allowed me to contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community by having the opportunity to work with students one on one using an iPad.
