  4. Group Work Activity In groups of two or three (no more than 3) You are to identify the type of text and discuss the purpose of the text. Example: The purpose of this _________ is to _______ __people. You may also add how the text is achieving their purpose. The purpose of the Kids Help Line advertisement is to inform and remind people, in particular children and teenagers that there is a resource available if they are seeking help or advice. The text displays the contact number clearly so that is eye catching and easy to notice.

Homework • Due next lesson (Tomorrow, period 4) Find 1 any type of text (newspaper article, magazine article, novel, film review, comic strip and etc.) • Analyse the text and fill in the visual text analysis template. You should now have the table in your workbooks and there is also a copy of it on your moodle.
