  3. 2004 Air Quality network

  4. St-Anicet • Site location: Agricultural area. Upwind of Montreal. CORE site. • Continuous measurements: • O3, PM2.5, NO, NOy, CO, met. • Air quality samplers: • PM2.5 speciation, VOC, aldehydes • Other CORE measurements: • CO2 and Hg flux, Hg and toxics (air and precip) • Objectives: Research, CWS, AQFcst, AQI, transboundary influence, trends

  5. L’Assomption • Site location: Suburban with agricultural activities . Downwind of Montreal. • Continuous measurements: • O3, PM2.5, CO, met. • Air quality samplers: • VOC, aldehydes • Objectives: CWS, AQFcst, AQI, Impact of Montreal

  6. Rivière-des-Prairies • Site location: Residential area. Downwind of Montreal. Highly influenced by woodsmoke. Partner: Ville de Montréal • Continuous measurements: • O3, PM2.5 (BAM-SH, TEOM-SES, TEOM-FDMS), PAH analyzer, CO, met. • Air quality samplers: • VOC, aldehydes, PAH, Dichot partisol • Objectives: CWS, AQFcst, AQI, Impact of Montreal, population exposure, woodsmoke study, PM intercomparison site

  7. L’Acadie • Site location: Agricultural area. Crosswind of Montreal. Richelieu valley (North end of the Lake Champlain watershed). Partner: MENV, Vermont state • Continuous measurements: • O3, PM2.5 (BAM-SH, TEOM-SES), NOx, met. • Air quality samplers: • FRM (analysis done by Vermont lab) • Objectives: CWS, AQFcst, AQI, transboundary influence, PM intercomparison site

  8. St-Faustin • Site location: Forested area. Crosswind of Montreal. Elevated site (Laurentians, 411m ASL). Partner: MENV • Continuous measurements: • O3, PM2.5, met. • Air quality samplers: • None • Objectives: CWS, AQFcst, AQI, background site
