  2. Aim & Purpose This unit will enable learners to explore aspects of business in sport and enable them to conduct and use market research. Learning Outcomes: Know how businesses in sport are organised Know what makes a successful sports business Know the legal and financial influences on sport as business Be able to use market research and marketing for a sports business.

  3. Student Task List as many sports businesses as you can. Remember, a business is a profit making entity.

  5. Private Limited Companies • Separate Finance • Subject to Corporation Tax • Greater Responsibilities (Administration) • Owned by its Shareholders • Registered with Companies House
