SIMPLE PIDF Extensions • Purpose: Represent SIP specific features in presence documents • Already have a related work item: Submission of SIMPLE PIDF profile to IESG for publication as Proposed Standard • Two drafts submitted: draft-kyzivat-simple-prescaps-reqts-00 (Requirements) draft-lonnfors-simple-prescaps-ext-00 (Response to Rqmts) IETF 55 – SIMPLE WG

2. SIMPLE PIDF Extensions • These drafts based on Callerprefs • Already motivated status attributes • Only a starting point, more needed IETF 55 – SIMPLE WG

3. SIMPLE PIDF Extensions • Proposed Requirements • MUST NOT require changes to PIDF. • MUST specify a way of representing a tag-set [defined in callerprefs] for use in a PIDF document. • MUST be capable of representing ANY valid tag-set. • MUST specify how the capabilities of a UAS, as represented in a registration, may be equivalently represented in a PIDF document.
