UNISON Welfare Financial assistance To help in cases of unforeseen financial hardship e.g. • A sudden loss of income • An increase in expenditure due to illness • Relationship breakdown • The death of a relative or partner • Or circumstances that have placed an unreasonable strain on the household budget
UNISON Welfare Financial assistance A short-term safety net to help you adjust to your circumstances e.g. • Household bills • Items of furniture or equipment • Disability aids and adaptations • Many other needs • Confidential advice is an important part of the service
UNISON Welfare Wellbeing Breaks Delivered in partnership with the Family Holiday Association • Family holidays and outings for members with children • Get well breaks following illness, injury or an operation • Breaks in other special circumstances e.g. for carers and following bereavement
UNISON Welfare Debt advice service • Free independent and impartial debt advice • A simple switch from your current fee charging debt management provider • Flexible Debt Management Plans • Five year fixed Individual Voluntary Arrangements (with no upfront fees) • Trust Deeds (in Scotland)
