  3. Elementary & Middle School • Collaborations with Minority serving schools and science/math learning centers • Science Curricula Development • Teacher Professional Development

Scientist working with teachers to excite students about science • Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) • Cornell Center for Material Research (NSF) • HCZ covers over a 6 block area from 116th St. in the South to 132nd St in the North from Madison Ave in the East to 8th Ave in the West • CCMR scientist assist in building a science curriculum through hands on lessons and workshops for teachers • Teacher professional development workshops • www.hcz.org

  6. High School - Undergrad • Associate Provost for Admissions & Enrollment, Doris Davis • 100-200 “near free rides” a year to students who otherwise could not afford an education at Cornell (tuition, room & board w/no work-study or loans) • Cornell Commitment Programs (scholarships)

  7. High School - Undergrad • Pathways to Success: Community College Partnership program • Transfer student program • Partnership with Morrisville State College and Monroe Community College • Support from Jack Kent Cooke Foundation • Model for future partnerships with 4 yr colleges

  8. High School - Undergrad • Coordinator for Multicultural Recruitment • Diversity Hosting Weekend and Multicultural Visitation Program • Diversity Program Offices in the Colleges • Engineering, Human Ecology, Agriculture & Life Science, Architecture, Art and Planning
