  1. Warm UpWednesday September 3 What does it mean to be a maximum and to be a minimum? Draw a graph in your explanation.

  2. Answer A maximum is the highest point on a graph and a minimum is the lowest point on a graph.

  3. Homework Problems????????

  4. So from yesterday, what did we learn about fog and gof? Is it fairly easy now? Good…Lets Quiz  Using f(x) = 4x + 3 and g(x) = x - 2,find: F(g(5)) G(F(-6)) F(G(7)) Using f(x) = 6x² and g(x) = 14x + 4 find: 4. (f0g)(x) 5. (gof)(x)

  5. End behavior is simply what happens on either end of the graph as x and y approaches infinity http://www.purplemath.com/modules/polyends.htm Zeros if you remember from Algebra 1 are the x-intercepts. They occur where the graph crosses or touches the x axis. If it crosses twice, it has 2 real zeros, if it touches, it has one real zero, and if it does not cross, it has NO real zeros.

  6. Homework Complete the worksheet problems 16-38 even as well as 39-45
