  2. 1. Coverage of kishori shakti yojana • The scheme of kishori shakti yojana is implemented in 416 project in Maharashtra

Objective of the scheme • a) To improve the quality of nutritive food supply to girl beneficiaries b) To unable the girl for earning by imparting them and accupational training and for domestic sevice training • c) To impart training in the subject like health care, family welfare, home management, child care, personal hygiene, cleanliness of sourrounding etc. with a view to make them aware of responsibilities and to creat self confidance in them and also to unable them to prevenet child marriage • d) To improve the decision making power of girl by imparting them and informal training

Criteria of selection of the beneficiaries • a) The centrally sponsored scheme of kishori shakti yojana is based on Girl to Girl Apporach • b) Under this scheme, 20 girls, between the age group of 11 to 18 are selected for six month training from AWC area. Out of these, three girl between the age group of 15 to 18 are associated with AWC and they are asked to participate in every activity of the AWC. While selecting these 3 girls, preference is given to the girls from B.P.L., SC, ST,& those who have left school.

(I) Health related services :- • A) Iron tablets are served once a week and Dewarming Tablet are served once in 6 months to all the 20 selected girls of 11 to 18 age group under the supervision of Anganwadi Sevika and nurse. • (B) weight of all these girls is measured and their blood test is also taken every month to oberve the ratio of Hemoglobin in the blood, and the findings are recorded accordingly every month and kept in Anganwadi centre.

  7. (II).Training :- • Out of the girls selected by Mukhya Sevika and C.D.P.O., girls of 15 to 18 age-group (who are B.P.L.) are imparted training jointly on bit level. On completion of their training, through them, training is imparted to rest of the girls on Anganwadi level. In this training, the subjects like health-care, nurishment, personal hygiene, cleanliness of surrounding, consequences of child marriage, domestic occupational training etc., are included.

  8. (III) Administrative control :- • Dy.CEO (C.W.) of Z.P. is entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the scheme of rural and tribal projects. • Responsibility of implementing the scheme of rural and tribal projects is entrusted to the concerned C.D.P.O.
