Home technology terms • From the 45 fields (period 2005-2009), we extract the keywords, • Based on its relative frequency, each keyword is assigned a technological field: its “home technology”, • Each technology is characterized by a set of keywords we call “home technology terms”, • Each technology is also indexed by keywords from other home technologies:interrelationshipstrade balance • An artificial construction with artifacts Interrelationships of technologies – the concept of home technology terms

Conclusion • We were looking for innovation at the intersection of Physics and Engineering or Life Sciences, • Using the well-defined domain classification scheme of the PASCAL database, • We assigned terms to technologies in a pragmatic way “home technology terms”, • To analyze the interrelationships and the trade balance between fields. • How useful is it?
